**Continuous control monitoring (CCM)** checks controls on a schedule using data from your connectors. When a check fails, for example an admin without MFA appears, the control is flagged and its owner is notified, long before audit fieldwork.

If a connector fails three times in a row it is quarantined and collection pauses until you fix the credential and re-test.
