# KnowBe4

## What it does

KnowBe4 reports security-awareness training completion and phishing-simulation results, which is exactly what awareness-training controls have to evidence each period.

## Prerequisites

- A cSquare GRC workspace where you are an **owner** or **admin**.
- Connection method: **API key or token**.
- Access needed at KnowBe4: Read-only Reporting API token.

## Set up

Open **Settings > Integrations** in [the app](https://app.csquaregrc.com), find KnowBe4, then:

1. In KnowBe4 open Account Settings, then Account Integrations, then API.
2. Enable the Reporting API and copy the API token.
3. Select your region (US, EU, CA, UK or DE) and paste the token here.

## Verify the connection

1. Back in **Settings > Integrations**, KnowBe4 should show **Connected** with a recent sync time.
2. Open **Evidence** and filter by source **KnowBe4**. The first sync can take a few minutes.
3. Open a control that depends on KnowBe4 and confirm the new evidence is linked.

## Troubleshooting

### 401 with a token that works elsewhere

The region is wrong. KnowBe4 hosts each region separately; pick the one matching your console URL.

### Training campaigns missing

Only completed and in-progress enrollments are collected. Draft campaigns do not appear until they start.

### Test connection fails immediately

Nine times out of ten the credential was pasted with a trailing space, or it was issued in a different tenant or region. Re-copy it and try again.

### The connector is quarantined

Collection paused after three consecutive failures. Fix the credential, then use Re-test and re-enable on the Active connections tab; it only resumes when the test passes.

### Connected, but no evidence appears

Check that at least one collection type is selected and that the account can see the resources. Read-only accounts scoped to a single project will only return that project.
